Speeders Targeted Near Country Club

THOUSAND OAKS — After numerous complaints of drivers speeding on Kanan Road near the North Ranch Country Club, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Thousand Oaks traffic bureau has designated the area at the east end of the club its Traffic Tip of the Week.
From today through Saturday, deputies will actively enforce the 45-mph speed limit near Windy Mountain Avenue in Thousand Oaks, said sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Bailey.
Windy Mountain Avenue leads to the main entrance of the country club on the east end.
Therefore, drivers traveling east and west on Kanan Road need to be aware of cross traffic, Bailey said.
