Robber Hits Second Wells Fargo Branch
A man wearing a red baseball cap and a silver-colored wig robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Bolsa Avenue on Tuesday, the second such Wells Fargo holdup in a week, police said.
The robber, who took an undisclosed amount of money, demanded cash from the teller and, although none of the witnesses saw a weapon, warned that he was armed, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Bruce Kelly said.
No one was hurt in the 2:53 p.m. incident, police said.
The robber, described by witnesses as a white man about 30 years old and 6 feet tall, fits the description of a man who robbed a Wells Fargo branch in Seal Beach last week.
The man in last week’s robbery was also described as wearing a red baseball cap and a silver-colored wig. Police said he escaped with an undisclosed amount of money in a forest-green Ford Explorer.
