A longtime class in the traditional Chinese therapeutic exercise called qigong (pronounced chee-gong) moves to public television. The class originated in San Francisco for people with HIV and AIDS and now focuses on using the exercises for any kind of chronic illness. If you have a chronic condition that has made it difficult to exercise, this may be the ticket. The exercise routines are slow and easy to learn. Qigong is said to improve the immune system and restore physical energy.
