In other Channel League games:
Royal 35, Simi Valley 14--Running backs Bryant Phipps and Steve Sheehan combined for 172 yards and scored five touchdowns for the Highlanders (6-4, 3-4) at Moorpark College.
Phipps finished with 103 yards in 22 carries and scored on runs of three, 11 and two yards. Sheehan had 69 yards in 14 carries and scored on runs of six and 37 yards.
Quarterback Tim Bird completed 15 of 34 attempts for 210 yards and two touchdowns, one to Nick Camanelli and the other to Josh Verdugo.
The Pioneers (1-8-1, 0-6-1) pulled to within 21-14 early in the fourth quarter, but Sheehan’s 37-yard score eight minutes later helped seal the victory.
