Channel Islands 15, Camarillo 3--The Raiders (2-7-1, 2-4-1 used two big plays and a stingy defense to escape with a victory at Channel Islands.

Russell Patton snapped a 3-3 tie when he intercepted a Garrett Valencia pass at the goal line and returned it 100 yards for the go-ahead score late in the third quarter.

Following another interception by Patton, Ray Carmel broke loose on an 80-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to give the Raiders a 15-3 lead.

Carmel finished with 134 yards in 13 carries.

Valencia passed for 170 yards, completing 13 of 31 for the Scorpions (1-9, 1-6), but tossed a pair of interceptions.

Camarillo running back John Howe had 88 yards in 21 carries.
