Microsemi Reports Net-Income Rise

Semiconductor supplier Microsemi Corp. reported net income for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30 rose 37% to $11.1 million, or $1.24 a share, from $8.1 million, or 98 cents a share, for the prior year. Revenue gained 4% to $163.2 million from $157.4 million. Fourth-quarter net income was up 48% to $3.7 million, or 41 cents a share, from $2.5 million, or 30 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 6% to $44.2 million from $41.8 million.
