From Times Wire Reports

Israeli military aircraft rocketed Lebanese army positions near an occupied border enclave in southern Lebanon, killing six soldiers and a civilian woman, the Lebanese military said. Five other Lebanese soldiers were wounded in the raids, according to an army communique. It was not immediately clear what prompted the Israeli attack on the Lebanese army, which has largely stayed out of the conflict between Israel and anti-Israeli guerrillas. But the raids came several hours after clashes between Israeli forces and Iranian-backed Hezbollah guerrillas on the edge of the Israeli-occupied zone. There were up to 10 combatants killed or wounded, including six Israelis, Lebanese security officials said. The Israeli army declined comment on those clashes. But Israeli television said there were no Israeli casualties and that four Hezbollah guerrillas had been killed.
