Killing of Seals
Re “Seal Hunt: It’s a New Killing Season,” April 18: Your article saddened and troubled me. And I wonder: How can men, who stand over defenseless animals whom they have just clubbed to death, go home and hold their wives tenderly in their arms? How can they bathe their children and read bedtime stories with visions of blood-splattered snow impressed on their minds? What compartmentalization must go on their lives and what effect does that have on their psyches? April 18 was one day when I wished I had not opened my morning paper.
