John Hastings, 34, the San Diego Chargers’ strength and conditioning coach, was arrested on battery charges after a late-night fight with three bouncers outside an Indianapolis nightclub.

Hastings was subdued by an off-duty police officer who sprayed him in the eyes with chemicals. Hastings was treated at a hospital and taken to jail, where he was released after posting a $200 bond. Police said the fight began when Hastings took offense after a bouncer asked him and a friend to leave the nightclub.
