Wilson’s Jobs Legacy
In “Wilson, in Waning Days, Touts Legacy” (Dec. 9), Gov. Pete Wilson states, “Today, we’re gaining more than 1,000 jobs a day.”
In Business, the same day: About 80% of new jobs created in California over the last four years do not pay a livable wage, which is about $35,000 a year. Three of the four fastest-growing jobs pay less than $16,000, reports the National Priorities Project, a Massachusetts-based public policy research group.
Some legacy!
