Police Seek Clues to Shooting at Nightclub
Police have conducted dozens of interviews in an effort to locate a suspect in a shooting that killed one man and injured two others outside an after-hours nightclub on Sunset Boulevard.
Marcus Harris, 34, arrived at the unlicensed underground club in the 5400 block about 2:45 a.m. Monday with some friends, Los Angeles Police Det. Lloyd Parry said.
A dispute arose with the club’s security guards when Harris and his friends were denied entrance to the club. In the course of the argument, Parry said, an unidentified suspect fired a handgun numerous times, hitting Harris in the head and wounding two men, ages 21 and 25, who were also providing security for the club.
Harris was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died.
The wounded men, whose names were not released, were treated at another hospital. One man remained hospitalized Wednesday, Parry said.
