Three women were robbed in two separate incidents Monday evening, but all escaped injury, Police Sgt. Jim Perry said.

In the first robbery, two women, ages 27 and 28, were approached by a man and a woman in the parking lot of a restaurant on Brookhurst Street about 7:25 p.m., Perry said. After demanding their purses, one robber grabbed a purse from one woman and the two fled in a red sports car. Police are still searching for the robbers.

In the second, police arrested two men suspected of robbing a woman at gunpoint as she unloaded groceries about 10 p.m. from her car, Perry said.

Officers with the Orange Police Department spotted a car matching the description from the robbery and arrested the two. Perry said the woman’s property was recovered.
