* Siemens, Germany’s largest electronics and engineering company, is in talks with Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. to invest in the South Korean company’s $750-million mobile phone handset business, a Hyundai spokesman said.

* Raytheon Co. agreed to sell its Montek unit to Moog Inc., a maker of aerospace parts, for $160 million in cash, its fourth asset sale in recent months. Raytheon will use proceeds from the sale to reduce debt. Montek supplies aircraft flight-control actuation systems, missile-steering controls and other aerospace equipment.

* Deere & Co. said it will lay off about 320 workers, or less than 1% of its staff, and offer early retirement to as many as 1,400 others because of weak demand for farm equipment. Most of the cuts will be made at facilities in Iowa and Illinois.
