Orange Grove Teacher Receives Milken Award

Share

A fifth-grade Orange Grove Elementary School teacher has won the Milken Family Foundation’s National Educator Award.

Bonnie Price received the award at a surprise school assembly. She was one of four teachers to win the award in California and one of 160 throughout the country.

Price will receive $25,000 from the foundation as part of the award.

“We are quick to recognize greatness in a lot of other areas like sports, but not really when it comes to teachers,” said Milken spokesman Johnny Cho. “And so the award is an attempt to reward them for the important work that they do and make them feel special.”
