LA PALMA
The City Council recently approved plans to install median islands on Moody Street at Crescent Avenue. Installation of the islands was a condition of approval for business owner Paul Son to open a carwash at the intersection, a plan opposed by some residents who questioned the need for a third carwash in the city. Son will pay the cost of the median on the south side of Crescent and the city will pay for one on the north side. The medians help to regulate traffic flow at the intersection.
