* Jeffrey B. Goldstein has been promoted to senior vice president of Warner Bros. Domestic Theatrical Distribution Division.

With more than 20 years experience at Burbank-based Warner Bros., Goldstein’s most recent job was senior vice president and assistant general sales manager.

He will oversee sales and administrative activities for the studio’s motion pictures throughout the U.S. and Canada.

* Patrick Barry has joined Warner Bros. Online, a division of Time Warner Entertainment Co., as director of affiliate market development.

Barry will be responsible for negotiating with telecommunication firms, Internet service providers, broadband companies, computer OEMs, and other new media entities.

Prior to joining Warner Bros. Online, Barry served as director of market development for Warner Advanced Media Operations, a business unit of the Warner Music Group.

Warner Bros. Online produces entertainment programming for the Internet and commercial online services.

* NetZero Inc. has hired Mark R. Goldston, a marketing specialist, to head the company.

Goldston, 44, joins NetZero from The Goldston Group, a business consulting firm he founded.

Ronald T. Burr, 34, NetZero’s former CEO and co-founder, will become company president and chief technology officer, effective immediately.

NetZero, based in Westlake Village, provides free e-mail and Internet access to consumers, in exchange for targeted advertising. The company says it has 800,000 subscribers.

NetZero is funded by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Foundation Capital and Idealab Capital Partners, and maintains strategic alliances with AGIS, NetGravity and GTE.

* Franklin Telecom announced that Ron Weaver will join the Westlake Village-based company as vice president of worldwide sales and its subsidiary, FNet Corp.

Peter Buswell, president and chief operating officer of Franklin Telecom, is now acting COO of FNet. Former FNet COO James Magruder has left to pursue other interests, the company said.

Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices and software. FNet provides voice over Internet protocol services.
