Riordan’s Daughter Is Confirmed for Panel Seat
Kathleen Riordan, the daughter of Mayor Richard Riordan, was confirmed by the City Council on Tuesday for an appointment to the city Animal Regulation Commission.
Mayor Riordan appointed his daughter to the panel, citing her years of involvement with animal issues.
“She loves animals, and has an incredible passion for the care and treatment of animals,” the mayor said, noting that she is vice president of a San Fernando Valley rescue group called New Leash on Life.
She also said she would work for free, declining the city stipend for the post.
Riordan is temporarily living with her father in his Brentwood home.
