Without discussion, the City Council unanimously approved an annual trash fee hike of $2.40, or a 1.6% increase, on Monday.
Residents have been paying monthly fees of $12.54 for trash collection and disposal through Great Western Reclamation. The 20-cent monthly increase will begin immediately.
