Robots that can lift disabled bathers in and out of tubs, computers operated by the gaze of an eye and other assistive technology advances will be on display today through Tuesday at a gathering of producers and consumers of such products at the Long Beach Convention Center.

About 1,200 therapists, caregivers, researchers and product marketers are expected to turn out for the annual convention of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America.
