Anna Marie Nicosia--who prefers to be known simply as Anna Marie--was chosen this month as the best female vocalist and instrumentalist in her age group by the North American Country Music Assn. International. “My friends gave me a whole bunch of lucky charms, and I put them in my boots,” the 18-year-old Marina High School senior said. The Fountain Valley native competed in Tennessee against more than 20 people from around the world.
