AML Communications Expands Its Board

AML Communications in Camarillo has appointed Gerald M. Starek to its board of directors, expanding the board to six members.

Starek serves as a director of Advanced Energy Industries. He previously was on the board of directors of Systems Chemistry, a privately held company that was purchased in 1995 by SubMicron Systems.

Earlier, Starek was president, chief executive officer and chairman of Silicon Valley Group, a supplier of automated wafer-processing equipment for the semiconductor industry that he founded in 1977.

AML manufactures amplifiers for the cellular, wireless, paging and satellite communication markets.
