Prozac

* The one overlooked comment in the editorial about Prozac (May 1), which you touched upon, is the fact that when a drug is approved by the FDA there are no restrictions on its use. It is my opinion that there should be put in place legislation regarding the use of prescription drugs for the intended purpose, and not as some catch-as-catch-can use that the medical profession wants to experiment with.

Drugs approved for use as a help for a sinus condition should not be used as diet drug at the discretion of an ill-informed doctor.
