HBO Slate Includes Barry Levinson TV Film
Oscar-winner Barry Levinson (“Rain Man”) will direct and executive produce a TV movie for HBO called “Path to War,” a look at U.S. involvement in Vietnam.
Also on a slate of films the pay-cable network announced this week: “The Last of the Blonde Bombshells,” a film from the makers of “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” starring Dame Judi Dench, Ian Holm, Olympia Dukakis and Leslie Caron; and “Disappearing Acts,” starring Wesley Snipes in an adaptation of Terry McMillan’s bittersweet urban love story.
HBO has also acquired rights to make film versions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway play “Wit” and Susan Faludi’s best-seller “Stiffed: The Betrayal of the American Man.”
