BREA
Brea has beaten out most of its neighbors in its response rate on the U.S. Census, the North Orange County Census Office reported Tuesday.
About 80% of the city’s residents who were mailed census forms returned them, compared to 75% for neighboring Fullerton and 69% for La Habra. Estimates for Placentia and Yorba Linda were not available.
That’s also better than Orange County as a whole, which recorded an estimated 72% response rate. The national average was a 65% response rate.
