Star Tours

The center of our Milky Way Galaxy lies due south and one-third of the way up the sky at 9 o’clock tonight. The Milky Way cannot be seen from brightly lit cities, but from the countryside it stretches overhead during the early evening. Its center is located above the tail of Scorpius and to the right of the “teapot” of Sagittarius--27,000 light-years from Earth.
