Donated Food to Be Delivered Today
Vons, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and the Southwest Minority Economic Development Assn. will donate $240,000 worth of goods today to food banks and other charities throughout Southern California.
The Vons Holiday Food Convoy, six 18-wheel Vons trucks, will leave Los Angeles today and will stop at the Southwest Community Center in Santa Ana at 2 p.m. to deliver bags of food to 75 to 100 needy families, officials say. Information: (714) 771-1343.
