Signing On in Havana
There are dozens of hotels in Havana, but only five offer Internet and/or e-mail service:
* Melia Havana, full Internet access and e-mail service for guests only, $10 per hour with a $3 minimum, ground-floor business center, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
* Golden Tulip, e-mail only using hotel’s e-mail address, available to guests and non-guests alike, $17.50 per hour, second-floor business center, open 8 to 8 weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends.
* Hotel Nacional, e-mail only using hotel’s e-mail address, available to guests only, $10 per hour, sixth-floor business center, open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. weekends.
* Havana Libre, e-mail only using hotel’s e-mail address, free to guests, non-guests pay $2 per e-mail sent and $1 per e-mail received, 20th-floor business center, open 7 to 11 a.m. daily.
* Melia Cohiba, e-mail only using hotel’s e-mail address, available to guests and non-guests, $15 per hour, ground-floor business center, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
