Bioamerica Forms Wireless Operations Unit

Bioamerica Inc., a medical technology company in Newport Beach, said Friday that it has formed a new wireless operations and electronic health care unit called ReadyScript Inc., which will develop handheld wireless computing systems for the health care industry. The independently funded operation’s first product will be a wireless medication management system to let doctors transmit prescription orders directly to pharmacies. ReadyScript has signed agreements with four West Coast medical groups that represent about 4,000 physicians.
