Enron Corp. Vice Chairman Joseph W. Sutton, 53, will leave the world’s largest publicly traded energy trader on Nov. 1. Houston-based Enron did not disclose who would replace Sutton. He joined Enron in 1992 and has held a variety of positions in its international businesses. The international business developed a number of large power projects. Enron has since switched its focus from developing assets to developing markets for commodities, as well as providing risk management and financial services. “I have decided to pursue opportunities where I can make greater use of my skills and experience in the development and operation of energy assets,” Sutton said in a statement. Enron’s shares, up about 80% this year, fell $1.81 to close at $80.19 on the NYSE.
