* ORA Electronics Inc. appointed John M. Burris chief executive and president. He will replace Merritt W. Jesson, who will continue as chairman of the board of directors.
Burris has been involved with ORA Electronics since 1987, most recently as the company’s chief financial officer, secretary and director.

* Disney Online in North Hollywood announced two executive promotions.
Dan Sherlock has been named vice president of marketing and Jodie Resnick vice president of entertainment.
Sherlock will be responsible for Disney Online new business development and will manage the market research and brand development teams, as well as all marketing efforts for the online subscription service, Disney’s Blast.
As vice president of entertainment, Resnick will work with 15 Walt Disney Co. business units to supervise the production and maintenance of movie, television, video and music Web sites.
Disney Online is a division of the Walt Disney Internet Group.
