Beswick is Chief of Anaheim Memorial
Melinda D. Beswick has been named chief executive of Anaheim Memorial Medical Center. She had been president of California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles since 1996. Before that, Beswick was chief operating officer and vice president, patient care services at California Hospital.
* Bill Frank has been appointed chief technology officer and vice president of research and development engineering at Western Digital Corp. in Irvine. Frank had been chief systems architect for the last seven years and held various engineering, marketing and senior management positions in his 20 years with Western Digital. In addition, Hossein Moghadam was named vice president of Hard Disk Assemblies engineering and manager of the company’s San Jose facility. Moghadam’s experience includes nine years with Seagate Technology, where he was senior vice president and chief technology officer.
* Jon Bukosky has been appointed vice president of business development at Kore in Newport Beach. Before joining the company, Bukosky was with marchFirst for more than three years. He also co-founded iADmedia, a streaming media company, and served as vice president of sales at Fulcrum Point Technologies.
* Lu Ning will head the new Beijing sales and marketing office of Costa Mesa-based Ceradyne Inc. He was formerly with Ceradyne Thermo Materials’ Chinese agent.
* David Hubbard has joined QLogic Corp. in Aliso Viejo as vice president and general manager of the Switch Products group. Hubbard was previously senior vice president of sales and marketing for Inrange Technologies Corp.
* Thomas L. Kinder has been named general manager, Western area for Eclipse Surgical Technologies. He is based in Costa Mesa. Before joining Eclipse, Kinder was general manager of Karl Storz Endoscopy in Culver City. Before that, he was vice president of sales for the surgical division of Imagyn Medical Technologies in Irvine.
* Edward B. Merino has been elected chairman of the Forum for Corporate Directors. He is chief executive of Office of the President, a consulting firm on issues related to boards of directors.
* Robert Bunyan, Eugene Spindler, Lisa Whitney and James Yoder have been named vice presidents at Shea Properties in Aliso Viejo. Bunyan, who joined the company last year as development manager, is vice president of development. Spindler, a development manager since joining the company in 1999, is now a vice president in the Southern California commercial division. Whitney was appointed vice president of property management. She was previously vice president and portfolio manager for Trammell Crow Co. Yoder, who has been with Shea since 1991, was named a vice president of the Southern California commercial division.
* Eric Heffner has joined Western National Group in Irvine as vice president, development and acquisitions. He was previously a vice president at Lend Lease Real Estate Development. Heffner was also an investment broker with Grubb & Ellis and John Burnham & Co.
* Daniel Gehman has joined Thomas P. Cox Architects Inc. in Irvine as senior designer. He previously held positions with Stoutenborough Inc. Architects and Planners, DesignArc and Axcess Architects. In addition, Alan Hoops was named project manager. He held project architect positions with Greenberg Farrow Architecture, Holmes & Narver, McLarand, Vasquez & Partners and Pulaski & Arita Architects.
* Jennifer Jones has been selected to head the new Newport Beach office of Herrmann Advertising Design/Communications. Jones, senior vice president, has been with Herrmann for eight years.
