Stem Cells and the Bible
Re “Bible Guides Senate on Stem Cell Studies,” July 19:
What sanctimonious rot! Our lawmakers/breakers should spend more time reading the reports of the legislative analysts and less or no time on religious issues. Which Bible will they be using? The Old Testament or the New Testament? Or will they use the Koran or the Buddhist wisdom of the ages?
Instead of the Ten Commandments, a copy of our Constitution and amendments should be required reading, followed by appropriate testing, before senators and representatives are sworn into office.
