We all have our passions; some are just more fun than others. And for those who live for all things Madonna, the Palace in Hollywood was a fun house of fandom last week.

About 850 people turned up to see and be seen at the First-Ever Los Angeles Madonna Convention. Gender was no barrier when it came to dressing up as the Material Mom, from her bustier-flaunting beginnings to her current cowgirl chic.

While the lip-syncing and look-alike contests were the obvious crowd favorites, the sale of memorabilia and nonstop Madonna tunes kept the action going.
