Carson Cos. has acquired three industrial buildings to start an expansion program aimed at doubling the Rancho Dominguez-based company’s 4.2 million square feet of industrial space over the next five years. The company bought two buildings totaling 465,000 square feet at the Jurupa Industrial Center in Fontana for $18 million from a partnership of Newport Beach-based Western Realco and Cigna Insurance, and one building of 285,000 square feet at 12330-12434 Lakeland Road in Santa Fe Springs for $16 million from a joint venture of RREEF Funds and Remont Associates. The acquisition program is designed to establish a stronger presence for Carson Cos. in the Southland’s key distribution hubs, said Jim Flynn, company president.
