Meredith Brooks Bralley, a homemaker, died Sunday at Ojai Valley Community Hospital from complications of heart disease. She was 73.

She was born April 7, 1927, in Pasadena where she was raised and attended school. She attended Polytechnic High School in Pasadena and later attended Holmby College in Westwood. She also attended UC Santa Barbara, where she studied early childhood education and music.

She lived for several years in Arcadia before moving to Ojai in 1984.

She enjoyed stamp collecting and was a member of stamp clubs in Ojai and Ventura. She was also active in the Ojai Chapter 528 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Maurice; sons Thomas of Sylmar and Richard of Spokane, Wash.; daughter Teresa Lopez of Oak View; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. today at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura with the Rev. Kenneth Keene officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
