* Teligent Inc. Chairman Howard Jonas resigned his position 25 days after taking the post, the bankrupt wireless telephone provider said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Jonas is chief executive of IDT Corp., a Newark, N.J.-based long-distance and calling-card company that bought 37% of Teligent last month. He became chairman of Teligent on April 30. IDT shares fell 30 cents to close at $26.70 on the NYSE.

* EBay and Half.com, an EBay Inc.-owned Web site that offers products at set prices, will be combined, executives said. Sellers on Half.com can upload information about products from their numbered bar codes, while EBay users must write out descriptions of the items they’re listing for auction.

* Teradyne Inc., maker of semiconductor-testing equipment, said it has fired 150 employees in San Diego and 250 in Nashua, N.H., because of falling demand for electronic components from key customers. The cuts make up 4.2% of its work force.
