Complete List of Nominees

Share

Here is the complete list of nominations for the 54th annual nighttime Emmy Awards, as announced Thursday by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. They cover programs aired between June 1, 2001, and May 31, 2002.

About half of the academy’s 11,000 members mailed in their Emmy ballots this year. Academy volunteers now will view tapes and choose the winners, to be announced at the awards show Sept. 22 at the Shrine Auditorium and broadcast on NBC. Technical categories, such as cinematography and sound editing, will be judged by members of their peer groups, with awards presented Sept. 14.

Emmy nomination--The list of nighttime Emmy Award nominations in today’s Calendar contains a nominee who was subsequently disqualified. Music direction nominee Geoffrey Alexander, for ABC’s “Dinotopia,” was ruled ineligible because he conducted the score as opposed to arranging the music. The nomination was vacated, with the next highest vote-getters--a tie--receiving nominations. They are John Williams, music director, “The 74th Annual Academy Awards,” ABC; and Ian Fraser, music director, “Christmas in Washington,” TNT. The change lifts TNT’s total to 23 nominations.
