TRW Profit Rises on Increased Sales

TRW Inc. had a second-quarter profit from continuing operations of $133 million, or $1.05 a share, up 72% from a year ago, led by increased sales of air bags and computer-engineering services. The results missed analysts’ average estimate by 4 cents.

Sales rose 6.6% to $4.27 billion.

Shares of Cleveland-based TRW rose 23 cents to $54.18 on the NYSE.
