Controlling Predators
Our children shouldn’t have to be wary of strangers. They shouldn’t have to refuse to help those who say they are in need. These are natural inclinations of normal, well-adjusted human beings. What’s not normal is turning known pedophiles loose in a society of children. Why do we have to dance around their illnesses?
I think we as a society need to rethink the way we handle sexual offenders. The idea of “do the crime, do the time, when he’s free, let him be” should not apply to those who have impulse control problems and the potential of committing atrocious acts upon innocent minds and bodies.
