Full Senate Approves Appeals Court Nominee

The Democrat-led Senate on a voice vote confirmed University of Utah professor Michael McConnell to be a federal appeals court judge, approving one of President Bush’s nominations over objections by liberal groups.
He will join the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver.
