Hit-and-Run Victim’s Sister Asks Public’s Help
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The sister of a woman who was killed by a hit-and-run driver as she tried to rescue a cat, asked for the public’s help Tuesday.
“My sister cared more about an animal and its safety than somebody cared about her,” Catherine Hair said of her sister, Janet, 21, of Littlerock.
The accident occurred about 9 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle that hit Hair was a 1994 to 1999 GMC or Chevy pickup truck or SUV that received left front damage, the CHP said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP at (661) 948-8541.
