Lenient Judge Should Have Been Identified

Share

Re “Santa Ana Strip Club at Center of Police Scandals,” April 28: Your article does a good job of reporting on corrupt cops. I was aghast, however, at the most sordid part of the article, in which you report about Lisa Piho running two red lights and killing an innocent man with her car. With her prior convictions there is no doubt that justice demands that she do some serious time at state prison. Yet some judge you chose not to name gave her a slap on the wrist.

Why not name the judge? We vote for those folks. How can we hold them accountable at election time if The Times protects their identity?
