Guarding the Bushes

Re “New Bush Military Record Released,” Feb. 12: Speaking as someone down at the bottom of the food chain in the California National Guard (1966-72), we had no “alternative” method to skate monthly drills and summer camp. We couldn’t “make deals with the military” to get out early with an honorable discharge. It seems to be business as usual, one set of rules for the Bushes and their ilk and another set for the rest of us.
