Too Many Initiatives

The July 19 editorial “Last Chance to Be a Hero” on the “state” of California was uncommonly exemplary.

We have found the enemy and they are us.

The “ballot box initiative” process is so attractive and fraught with danger; we now see the results and it all came along well before the “Terminator” was a household name.

This editorial, by itself, should be discussed and displayed in every high school and college political science class in California, as soon as possible.

A job well done, on a history poorly executed. Let us hope it is not too late to turn the ship around.
