UC system is morally and financially corrupt
Re “UC Official Acted Improperly, Probe Finds,” Dec. 22
Now we can readily see how morally and financially corrupt our UC system is as the former provost breaks the rules and is forced to resign. For this she receives $375,000-plus for a 15-month leave, a $100,000 “bonus” to think about going back to work and a UC Davis professorship. This is a tenured position paying $163,800. At least she’s insulated from the possibility of being fired!
Does UC have any more of these management positions open for other taxpayers? Is this why tuition increases are needed?
