Sex Assault Trio to Undergo Screening
Three men convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious girl in 2002 arrived at a Chino prison Thursday for 90 days of physical and mental health screening preceding their Jan. 20 sentencing.
Gregory Haidl, Kyle Nachreiner and Keith Spann, all 20, will be kept in individual cells at the California Institution for Men “because of their high notoriety,” said Lt. Tim Shirlock, a prison spokesman.
After a high-profile trial, the men were convicted of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at the Corona del Mar home of Haidl’s father, then an assistant Orange County sheriff.
