From Times Wire Reports
A man was shot to death inside the Barre police station after pulling a knife and attacking an officer who was photographing and fingerprinting him, authorities said.
Officer David Riddle shot Randy Wiggin, said Vermont State Police Capt. Tim Bombardier. The officer was not seriously hurt.
Wiggin had been arraigned in court on a charge of violating his girlfriend’s temporary restraining order against him. The judge told him to report to the police station to be photographed and fingerprinted, Bombardier said.
