Can Dodgers Get Their Wreck Off the Freeway?

As an Angel fan since 2000 and an ex-Dodger fan, I find myself watching the team the way most people slow down to watch an accident on the freeway. We try to assess the damage and in some weird way hope to see some gore. That’s why I read what’s happening with the Dodgers every morning.

While I give Frank McCourt credit for ousting Paul DePodesta, he made a mistake firing Jim Tracy. But the worst thing McCourt could do is listen to Tommy Lasorda, who is a weak judge of talent. He wanted to bring in his clone, Bobby Valentine, another underachieving manager who couldn’t manage his way out of a third-rate bar fight, at least not in Japan.

If Tommy has his way, the Dodger season will be a more horrendous reality show than “Wife Swap.”
