Judge rejects ‘Borat’ suit by 2 fraternity brothers
A Superior Court judge has denied a request by two University of South Carolina fraternity brothers who want their scenes removed from the blockbuster comedy “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.”
The two men, who are depicted making sexist comments in the film, had claimed the producers got them drunk before having them sign release forms. They also said that they were told the film would be shown only in Kazakhstan.
But Judge Joseph S. Biderman ruled that they had failed to meet the standard for a preliminary injunction.
