Microsoft to Appeal South Korean Ruling

Microsoft Corp. vowed to appeal a decision by South Korea’s antitrust regulators concluding that the U.S. company had abused its market dominance and ordering it to offer alternative versions of Windows.
The Korea Fair Trade Commission released a report formalizing last year’s ruling against Microsoft that the Redmond, Wash.-based company’s practice of tying certain software to its flagship Windows operating systems was an abuse of its dominant position in the market.
